Charcoal & Pencil Drawing

Drawing with charcoal was the starting point of Najmeh Delara’s artistic journey into the beautiful world of painting and visual storytelling. She began learning this art in 1999, and her first exhibition appearance featured a realistic charcoal drawing that reflected her early mastery of detail and expression.

Most of Najmeh’s works are created using charcoal and pencil drawing techniques, rendered in realistic and hyperrealistic styles. Her ability to capture the depth of emotion in a subject’s face allows the viewer to truly feel the inner world of the portrait — making each artwork both intimate and alive.
