Early Life & Education
Najmeh Delara was born in 1984 in Shiraz, Iran. Although her academic path led her toward science — earning a Master’s degree in Fundamental Physics — her heart has always belonged to the world of art. From early childhood, she felt an irresistible connection to painting, drawing, and visual storytelling.
She began her artistic journey at the age of nine with black pen sketches, and over time mastered a wide range of techniques including oil painting, gouache, watercolor, and charcoal drawing. This combination of scientific precision and artistic sensitivity soon became her defining signature.
Education: Master of Science in Fundamental Physics
Early Artistic Focus: Black pen drawing, realism, and portrait studies

Exhibitions & Artistic Journey
Najmeh’s first public appearance as an artist took place in 2007 during a group exhibition themed “Old Shiraz.” Her detailed and realistic work received notable attention for its precision and emotional depth. This early success became a turning point that encouraged her to continue pursuing her passion for fine art.
Since then, she has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions across Iran, Turkey, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. Her artworks span multiple mediums — charcoal, black pen, oil, watercolor, and mixed media — each reflecting her fascination with realism and emotional storytelling.
Najmeh’s approach to art is grounded in sensitivity and observation. She believes every artwork is a silent dialogue between the heart and the canvas — a moment where thought transforms into form and emotion becomes visible.
Participations: Iran, Turkey, USA, UAE
Mediums: Black pen, Charcoal, Oil, Watercolor, Mixed Media
Teaching & Current Work
Alongside her artistic practice, Najmeh Delara has been dedicated to teaching art since 2010. Her students have ranged from 4-year-old children discovering creativity for the first time to 83-year-old adults reconnecting with their passion for art. She believes that at any age, painting is a way to understand emotion and to express what words cannot.
Most of her teaching focuses on charcoal drawing and portrait realism, guiding students from foundational shading to advanced design. She also teaches digital art, oil painting, gouache, and watercolor. Among younger students, learning to draw cartoon and anime characters is often the most exciting part of the creative process.
Currently based in the United Arab Emirates, Najmeh continues to create, teach, and participate in art events. Through her paintings and classes, she strives to share beauty, sincerity, and inspiration — reminding others that art is not only a visual experience, but also a journey of the soul.
